Feather-light, juicy and fresh, with red berries
One of Tom's most fun red wines, entirely in his spirit. The vineyard takes its name from the city of Tataouine in southern Tunisia and is also a tribute to the Tunisian workers who planted the vines in their day. Today the vineyard holds Grenache Gris vines over 90 years old, along with Grenache Noir, in a small plot in Calce in Roussillon. In the glass the wine is feather-light, juicy and divinely fresh. Red berries, wild cherries, herbs and a slightly peppery note come together with a lovely mineral texture. Bingo, welcome to Tunisia.
Pairs well with chicken, pork, pasta and mild cheeses, and is good slightly chilled.
