A light, refined Pinot Noir with cherries and roses
Importer: Rætur & Vín
Savigny-lès-Beaune lies just north of Beaune and is one of the largest and most respected wine villages in the Côte de Beaune. It is known for refined, aromatic Pinot Noir, and this vintage is a good example of that style. The nose opens with red cherries, wild strawberries and redcurrants, along with delicate notes of roses, forest floor and gentle spice. On the palate the wine is light on its feet yet deep and precise. Fresh acidity holds the juicy fruit together while finely woven tannins give structure without overpowering. The result is an exceptionally elegant Bourgogne that becomes a little more charming after a short time breathing in the glass. Goes well with poultry.
