Light and clear, with citrus, white flowers and minerality
A light and lively Grüner Veltliner with a toned citrus edge, hints of white flowers and a streak of minerality. Great clarity, fine structure and a salty, oceanic energy. The flagship wine of the Wizard.
The wine is called “Non-Tradition” mainly because it is different from traditional Grüner Veltliner wines. Interestingly, Christian makes this wine from Grüner grapes from two different vineyards where the vines are 40 years old, one on limestone soil and the other on schist soil, which gives the wine added complexity. Christian has previously described the wine as 1 + 1 making 3.
Pairs well with fish, shellfish, chicken, salad and mild cheeses.
