Jérôme Bourgeois is the fourth generation of his family to take over this remarkable Champagne estate in the Crouttes-sur-Marne area. When he took over the winery, he steered production towards biodynamic methods in the cellar, and likewise stopped using chemical fertiliser or pesticides on his seven hectares of vineyards. Jérôme's wife, Charlotte, began working at the winery in 2016 and now plays a key role in producing the quality wines and in the winery's image.
Fermentation itself takes place mostly in stainless steel, but they also use wooden and clay vessels. Their wines are known for their charm and great softness, despite having complex undertones with strong echoes in the flavour. Year after year they try to make their wines even better, and the ambition of the Champagne couple has lifted the winery to another level.
