Mineral, fresh Blaufränkisch from a single vineyard
The meaning behind the name BBB is simply that it refers to the wine's grape (Blaufränkisch), the wine region (Burgenland) and the vineyard (Buehl) - the steepest part of the vineyard, facing southwest and letting the grapes ripen early.
One of Claus's Grand Cuvées, and most experts would say this is his finest wine. It is a Single Vineyard bottle, where all the wine in the bottle comes from one specific, delimited plot (Buehl), which is meant to reflect the uniqueness of the soil, climate and landscape of that one place.
Pairs well with grilled and roasted meat, lamb, game, mushrooms and aged cheeses.
