A fresh blend with green apple, pineapple and melon
Côte de Flon is a blend of Riesling, Silvaner, Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc and direct-pressed Pinot Noir from organically farmed vineyards in Flonheim, Rheinhessen. The wine ages in a mix of new 500-litre barrels and larger neutral vessels, giving a creamy, rounded texture. The nose shows pear, melon, fennel and lemon zest, and on the palate it is fresh with salty acidity and a mineral edge. Marto is the label of Martin Wörner, who trained with Matassa and Gut Oggau. The wine is unfiltered with no added sulphites.
Pairs well with fish, chicken, salad, vegetables and small plates.
